Last week I had the privilege of visiting with the indomitable community of Cleburne. My family and I are keeping Johnson County in our prayers during this rebuilding effort, and our office stands ready to help those who need it.
Johnson County residents who need assistance are encouraged to contact our Cleburne or DC official offices at 817-774-2575 & 202-225-9896.
President Obama will be in Austin this week to discuss the economy. I sent him an invitation to tour local small businesses to understand the devastating effects that ObamaCare and a host of other big government regulations are having on job creation.
Here is the full letter:
Continue Reading...Dear Mr. President:I am delighted to learn you are coming to Austin to talk about the economy! As the Congressman for Texas Congressional District 25 that includes the Texas State Capitol, I want to personally invite you to join me at a local small business where we can fully examine the impact of your policies on our nation's job creators. Mr. President, we have a lot to talk about.
As a forty-year small business owner, I know first-hand how gut wrenching April 15th can be. You’ve worked hard, cut costs where you can, ensured your employees are well cared for, and then comes the government with a very large hand shoved into your pocket.

Patty and I want to wish you and your family a truly joyous Easter! Now is the time we remember, "I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in me will live even though he dies." John 11:25
This is a time for all of us to remember God's love for us is so strong that he would sacrifice His only son to purify our souls. During this time of forgiveness and redemption, we should give thanks to our Lord and Savior for His death and resurrection as we pray for our family, friends and for our Country.Continue Reading...
Last week I sent a letter to former U.S. Marine Corps Sergeant Richard Fitzpatrick, the founder of Magpul, inviting him to relocate his facilities to Texas' 25th Congressional District in the event that a ban on high capacity magazines takes effect in Colorado.
