President Obama will be in Austin this week to discuss the economy. I sent him an invitation to tour local small businesses to understand the devastating effects that ObamaCare and a host of other big government regulations are having on job creation.
Here is the full letter:
Continue Reading...Dear Mr. President:I am delighted to learn you are coming to Austin to talk about the economy! As the Congressman for Texas Congressional District 25 that includes the Texas State Capitol, I want to personally invite you to join me at a local small business where we can fully examine the impact of your policies on our nation's job creators. Mr. President, we have a lot to talk about.
As a forty-year small business owner, I know first-hand how gut wrenching April 15th can be. You’ve worked hard, cut costs where you can, ensured your employees are well cared for, and then comes the government with a very large hand shoved into your pocket.
Some years are better than others . . . some years are worse. But under the Obama regime, we’re facing nothing but a whole lot of worse.
Now that I am serving as the voice of the good people from the 25th Congressional District, Tax Day is taking on a whole new meaning. As I travel around and meet other people who are working to keep their businesses afloat, I’m reminded about how devastating Obama’s new tax schemes are to everyone who lives right here in our communities.Continue Reading...
Patty and I want to wish you and your family a truly joyous Easter! Now is the time we remember, "I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in me will live even though he dies." John 11:25
This is a time for all of us to remember God's love for us is so strong that he would sacrifice His only son to purify our souls. During this time of forgiveness and redemption, we should give thanks to our Lord and Savior for His death and resurrection as we pray for our family, friends and for our Country.Continue Reading...
Last week I sent a letter to former U.S. Marine Corps Sergeant Richard Fitzpatrick, the founder of Magpul, inviting him to relocate his facilities to Texas' 25th Congressional District in the event that a ban on high capacity magazines takes effect in Colorado.
Congressman-elect Williams Assigned to the House Committee on Transportation and Infrastructure and the Committee on the Budget
Congressman-elect Roger Williams (TX-25) was assigned to serve on two House Committees in the 113th Congress. Williams will join the House Committee on Transportation and Infrastructure and the House Committee on the Budget, chaired by Congressman Paul Ryan.
Just this past weekend, President Obama told his supporters to go and vote because voting would help give them "revenge."
This single statement says everything you need to know about the man who is our current President. His arrogance. . .his incompetence. . and his "leadership" is born out of anger toward our nation, envy of others, and an unrestrained desire to take "revenge" on many in our country.
This is the day we change a very destructive course our nation has been on during the past four years.Continue Reading...
For the last four years, we have had to listen to Barack Obama and his "social justice" agenda for America.
We have had to listen to him lecture about why the government should run the economy. . .or why the government should run health care. . or why the government should run your life.
For four years, we have had to listen to him. Now it’s time for him to listen to us!Continue Reading...
