Today is Memorial Day in America. But the reality is that every day is Memorial Day. And we owe it to those who have served and who are serving today to honor them and honor their sacrifice.
From Valley Forge to Gettysburg to Normandy to Baghdad, America’s finest and bravest have always been willing to pay the price for our freedom. This Memorial Day, I hope you will join me in remembering what we owe our veterans.
We owe our veterans our memory. We should never forget the blood that was shed, the lives that were lost, the price that was paid, and the families who were affected.
We owe our veterans our support. We should always honor our veterans. And we owe our veterans our vigilance.
The fight for freedom goes on. Today around the world, our troops are standing guard to protect democracy and promote freedom.
We must never relent in our fight to defend liberty. Not now. Not ever.
May you and your family have a safe and happy Memorial Day. And may we always honor and never forget those who have served and sacrificed to keep us safe and free.
