More Failed Leadership: White House has no opinion on Senate budget

The fact that the White House has no opinion on whether or not the Senate should pass a federal budget is more proof that Obama is not qualified to be President. Every family and small business has to stick to a budget, and so should the federal government. 

Labor and Retail Reports Show Economic Slippage

When will both parties in Washington realize that American families and small businesses need tax relief and certainty from government before our economy can get back on track? 

From The New York Times: 

Initial claims for unemployment benefits rose to 399,000 in the first week of 2012, the highest in six weeks, from an upwardly revised 375,000 a week earlier. The four-week average of claims was also higher, rising to 381,750 from 374,000.

 

The Labor Department report also showed 3.63 million continuing claims, up from 3.61 million.

U.S. debt is now equal to economy

We're going into the hole big time. We've got to stop spending and create tax reform that broadens the tax base and encourages job creation in order to create net worth in America again.

From USA Today: 

The amount of money the federal government owes to its creditors, combined with IOUs to government retirement and other programs, now tops $15.23 trillion.

That's roughly equal to the value of all goods and services the U.S. economy produces in one year: $15.17 trillion as of September, the latest estimate.

Obama to Turn Up Attacks on Congress in Campaign

Our campaign president promises to govern without Congress this year. I always thought it was government for the people, by the people. If Congress represents the people, then what must Obama think of us?

From the New York Times: 

“In terms of the president’s relationship with Congress in 2012,” Mr. Earnest said at a briefing, “the president is no longer tied to Washington, D.C.”
